Election Day Safety Guidance — Nov. 3, 2026

Central Bucks Regional Police outline Election Day rules for officer presence, weapons, and peaceful protests while coordinating with the registrar of voters to ensure a safe voting environment.

Officers will not be stationed at polling locations on Nov. 3, 2026, but the Central Bucks Regional Police are coordinating with the registrar of voters to enable a safe voting environment and a prompt response if needed. State law generally prohibits being within 100 feet of a polling place except when called by an election officer or three voters to clear an obstruction or maintain order, when the officer is personally voting, or when serving a warrant. If a polling site is not a court facility or school, legally possessed weapons are not prohibited at the site, and peaceful protesters may lawfully gather so long as they remain at least 10 feet from the polling entrance.
