Elijah Jordan Leed arrested after alleged ambulance theft in Columbia Borough

On July 20, 2026 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Columbia Borough Police responded to the area of 11th Street and Grinnell Avenue for a reported ambulance theft. Crew members say the ambulance, which was on a call, began to be driven away after equipment was retrieved; a crew member restrained 23-year-old Elijah Jordan Leed until officers arrived. Leed was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (Motor Vehicle) and Driving Without a License, taken to central booking and placed in Lancaster County Prison.
