Elijah Nathaniel Serrano, 21, arrested in Montour Township after officer smelled marijuana

On August 11, 2026, at approximately 12:57 a.m., Officer Hernandez stopped a sedan on the 200 block of Montour Blvd after observing it follow another vehicle too closely and cross pavement markings. The officer smelled burnt marijuana; the driver, identified as Elijah Nathaniel Hasson Serrano, 21, admitted smoking while driving from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. A consensual search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug items, and Serrano was taken to Columbia County Prison and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, following too closely and disregarding a traffic lane.
