Elijah Nathaniel Serrano arrested after Montour Blvd traffic stop

On August 11, 2026, at about 12:57 a.m., Officer Hernandez stopped a sedan in the 200 block of Montour Blvd after it followed another vehicle too closely and crossed pavement markings. The officer smelled burnt marijuana; the driver, identified as 21-year-old Elijah Nathaniel Serrano, admitted to smoking marijuana while driving from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. A consensual vehicle search uncovered marijuana and drug-related items, and Serrano was taken to Columbia County Prison on charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, following too closely and disregarding a traffic lane.
