On July 21, 2026, at about 8 p.m., 54-year-old Emmett Matthew Sloan was found in possession of a firearm that did not belong to him in Marietta. Investigators determined Sloan was not licensed to carry a concealed firearm and charged him under Pennsylvania Title 18 Section 6106(A)(2). The Susquehanna Regional Police Department handled the case; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
