EPA: Off-grid data centers not subject to Acid Rain Program
The EPA says generators that serve data centers not tied to the electric grid are not covered by the Clean Air Act’s Acid Rain Program.

The agency’s determination clarifies that those off-grid data center generators are not covered by the Acid Rain Program’s requirements.
