Ex-Myrtle Beach detective pleads guilty after pointing gun over microwaved fish
Michael DeBiase pleaded guilty to public disorderly conduct after aiming a department-issued firearm at a coworker who heated fish in the office microwave; he was fired following the incident.
A former cop in South Carolina has reached a plea deal after pointing a gun at a coworker who microwaved fish in their office.
Ex-detective Michael DeBiase pleaded guilty Friday to public disorderly conduct after a stinky incident at the Myrtle Beach Police Department, according to The New York Post. An arrest warrant in the spring said he removed his department-issued firearm from its holster while in the department’s briefing room and pointed it at another officer, accusing them of causing an “odor in the office” after “warming up fish in the microwave.”
