Extreme Heat Warning Through Friday

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the area from 11:00 AM Wednesday through 8:00 PM Friday, with heat index values that could reach 105°F. Residents are urged to drink plenty of water, seek air-conditioned locations, wear lightweight clothing, limit strenuous outdoor activity, check on vulnerable people and pets, and never leave children or animals in parked vehicles. If someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, or has a body temperature of 103°F or higher, call 911 immediately; this guidance was shared by the Dallas Township Police Department.
