Sen. John Fetterman and three colleagues introduced legislation that would permit SNAP beneficiaries to use benefits to purchase hot rotisserie chicken.
U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., along with three colleagues, has introduced a bill to allow beneficiaries enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to buy hot rotisserie chicken with their benefits. The proposal would change current rules that limit SNAP purchases to certain grocery items and exclude hot prepared foods.
