Scott Nocek is a firefighter and paramedic.

Scott’s career faced a setback when he tore his rotator cuff and labrum while responding to a house fire call with Lower Saucon Township.

“As a paramedic and a firefighter, it’s physically demanding itself,” Scott said. “So there was no work whatsoever for nine months.”

After shoulder surgery, Scott chose Good Shepherd Rehabilitation for the long, challenging path of getting back to work.

“It was very … personable between the physical therapist and myself,” Scott said of the team at Bethlehem (Elizabeth Avenue). “I worked hard to get back to where I was at and I put extra time into it.”
