Five people were arrested in a three-day undercover operation targeting suspects who use the internet to solicit minors for sex.
During the first week of August, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, working with local, state and federal partners including Grand Junction PD, CBI and Homeland Security Investigations, carried out a three-day undercover operation to target suspects soliciting underage individuals online. Five people were arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on multiple felony charges — including internet luring, soliciting commercial sexual activity with a child, sexual assault of a child under 15 and human trafficking of a minor — with bonds ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Charges are allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent.
