Fog alert in Southwest Pa. until Thursday morning

National Weather Service issued a fog alert at 4:42 a.m. Thursday for multiple Southwest Pennsylvania counties; visibility may fall to a quarter mile or less.

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 4:42 a.m. for fog until 9 a.m. for Lawrence, Butler, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.

"Areas of fog, some locally dense, will continue early this morning. Visibilities will be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less in some areas. Use caution if traveling, and be alert for rapid changes in visibility over a short distance," according to the weather service.
