Former N.J. teacher who kept 'Wall of Shame' in classroom loses license
State education chief revoked the certification of a former River Dell High School teacher after findings of inappropriate conduct, including a classroom “Wall of Shame.”
A former high school teacher in Bergen County accused of multiple instances of inappropriate behavior — including setting up a “Wall of Shame” for students in his classroom — has lost his teaching license.
State Commissioner of Education Lily Laux signed off last month on revoking the teaching certifications of Matthew O’Brien, a business teacher at River Dell High School from 2011 to 2019.
