Former Tamaqua officer from Nazareth gets 27½ years for child pornography and animal abuse
A federal judge sentenced 31-year-old Christopher Cordes to 27½ years in prison after court records say he sought sexually explicit videos from a 13-year-old and sexually abused a dog while employed by the Tamaqua Police Department in 2023 and 2024.
A Nazareth man and former area police officer was sentenced to 27½ years in federal prison Friday for creating and sharing child pornography and for sexually abusing a dog, according to a news release.
Court records say 31-year-old Christopher Cordes attempted to get a 13-year-old girl to create and share sexually explicit videos of herself.
