Freeze watch for parts of Southwest Pa. Monday night into Tuesday — lows near 27°F
Freeze watch in effect for five Southwest Pennsylvania counties Monday night into Tuesday morning.
At 12:17 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a freeze watch valid from Monday 11 p.m. until Tuesday 9 a.m. for Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.
"Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 degrees possible," says the weather service. "With elevated wind and scattered light precipitation overnight Sunday night, frost development will be highly localized to areas that are most sheltered from wind."
