French court jails former Lafarge CEO over IS payments

A French court on Monday fined cement group Lafarge more than $1.3 million and sentenced its former chief executive to six years in prison. The verdict found the company paid protection money to the Islamic State group and other jihadists to maintain its business in Syria.
