The Ephrata Police Department charged 36-year-old Gene WITOLD Runcel with one count of criminal mischief (M3) after a vandalism report from July 5, 2026, in the 200 block of Duke Street. Police say the victim reported Runcel kicked her vehicle, causing approximately $863.16 in damage; Runcel was interviewed and admitted to causing the damage, and charges were filed through MDJ Landis' office on July 18, 2026. Runcel is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
