A 7-year-old escaped a parked car by breaking a window after being left alone during a Walmart trip, authorities say.
A Colorado man is facing child abuse charges after authorities say he left his 7-year-old granddaughter alone inside a parked vehicle during a shopping trip, forcing the child to break a window to escape dangerous heat that officials estimated exceeded 150 degrees inside the car, according to Denver7.com. The incident happened July 6 outside a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Thornton, north of Denver.
