Motor Carrier Enforcement Team members Sgt. Ryan Cywinski and Ptlm. Celia Bond led a safety outreach at True Value covering inspection expectations, common violations and ELD hours-of-service rules.
Hanover Township Police Department’s Motor Carrier Enforcement Team—Sgt. Ryan Cywinski and Ptlm. Celia Bond—participated in a Commercial Motor Vehicle Outreach Program during a safety meeting at True Value, advising drivers on preparing for safe trips and what to expect during inspections. Officers reviewed common driver and vehicle violations, explained the 37-step inspection process, and answered questions on tires, lighting and hours-of-service related to Electronic Logging Devices. In June the division conducted 28 inspections that produced several violations, including 76 out-of-service violations; the department noted increased commercial traffic from the Hanover Industrial Park expansion and said it remains available to support company safety outreach programs.
