Hantavirus ship passenger: "They didn't take it seriously enough"
A passenger aboard the MV Hondius says shipboard routines continued despite the captain announcing a hantavirus-linked death, calling the response inadequate.
Ruhi Cenet, a passenger on the MV Hondius, said cruise-ship life carried on as usual even after the captain announced the first passenger's death linked to hantavirus. Cenet told reporters "they didn't take it seriously enough," expressing surprise and concern about the ship's handling of the situation.
