Highspire Police Remind Residents of Fireworks Rules for July 4

The Highspire Borough Police Department reminds residents to use fireworks safely and follow the Borough of Highspire Fireworks Ordinance and Pennsylvania law. Consumers must be at least 18 to purchase, possess, and use consumer fireworks; it is unlawful to intentionally ignite fireworks on public or private property without the owner's permission, within or from a motor vehicle or building, into or at a vehicle, building, or person, while under the influence, or within 150 feet of an occupied structure. The department asks residents to celebrate responsibly, be considerate of neighbors, and follow its official Facebook and X channels for updates.
