Highspire Police Remind Residents of Fireworks Rules for July 4

The Highspire Borough Police Department asks residents to use fireworks safely this Independence Day and to review the Borough of Highspire Fireworks Ordinance and Pennsylvania law. State law requires users to be at least 18 to purchase, possess, and use consumer fireworks and makes it unlawful to ignite fireworks without property owner permission, from a vehicle or building, at people or structures, while impaired, or within 150 feet of an occupied structure. The department encourages consideration for neighbors, community safety, and following updates on Facebook and X.
