Highspire Police to Host DEA Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 24, 2026
Highspire Borough Police will accept unused and expired medications at their designated collection site on Oct. 24, 2026. A secure drop box is located under the police carport.
The Highspire Borough Police Department will participate in DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and is a designated medication collection site. A secure disposal drop box under the police carport will accept prescription and over-the-counter medications but will not accept illegal drugs, needles, lotions or liquids, inhalers, aerosol cans, thermometers, or hydrogen peroxide. Proper disposal helps prevent accidental poisoning, prescription drug misuse and environmental contamination; residents are encouraged to check medicine cabinets and bring unwanted medications to the drop box.
