Homicide Investigation on Memorial Ave
Three males aged 17–19 were shot on Memorial Avenue in Williamsport on June 29; one died at a trauma center and investigators recovered two firearms while canvassing the scene.
On June 29, 2026 at about 2:48 p.m., Williamsport police responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Memorial Avenue and found three male victims aged 17, 18 and 19. Two were shot in the legs and a third was shot in the chest; the chest wound victim later died at a nearby trauma center. Multiple local and regional agencies are assisting the Williamsport Bureau of Police, investigators recovered two firearms and are conducting canvasses and interviews; anyone with information or video should contact Agent Laura Kitko at 570-327-7558.
