Illegal “pop-up parties,” unlawful nightclubs and for‑profit gatherings—often advertised on social media—are increasing in the region and can cause excessive noise, overcrowding, fire-code violations, traffic problems, alcohol/drug offenses, violence, property damage and trespassing. If you see an advertisement or know where one is planned, submit a tip to the York City Police Department’s secure online tip portal; you may remain anonymous and can upload screenshots, videos or flyers. If the event is happening now or is an emergency, call 9-1-1; when supported by evidence, organizers and others may be investigated, cited or arrested for offenses such as disorderly conduct, operating an unlicensed business, fire/occupancy code or alcohol licensing violations, trespassing or burglary.
