Jamel Kent, 40, was arrested Sept. 29, 2026, at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, NY. He faces charges of Assault in the Second Degree for injuring a person while confined in a correctional facility and Assault in the Second Degree with intent to cause injury to an officer, fireman, EMT, nurse or crossing guard. The case is being handled by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
