On July 22, 2026, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police investigated a retail-theft report at Weis Markets, 75 Doe Run Road, Penn Township. Officers identified 37-year-old Javier Anota-Xolio of Lancaster as the suspect, alleging he under-rang and removed items from the store since February 2026 totaling $1,686.44; one felony (F3) and one misdemeanor (M2) retail-theft count were filed and sent before MDJ Stauffer.
