Jeannette man charged after two young children found home alone with drugs
Police found a 7- and 5-year-old home alone for hours with drug paraphernalia and suspected psilocybin mushrooms in the residence; child services and a relative were contacted.
Jeannette police say 33-year-old Joshua Warren left two children, ages 7 and 5, alone at a Stella Street residence and officers found them unattended during a June 25 welfare check. Officers observed a tinfoil smoking pipe, a digital scale with marijuana residue and a lighter in plain view, and later located two plastic bags of suspected psilocybin mushrooms in a coffee table compartment. Warren is charged with endangering the welfare of children, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau and a relative were notified to assume supervision.
