Jeannette man charged after two young children found home alone with drugs in plain view
Jeannette police located two young children home alone and say officers found drug paraphernalia and suspected psilocybin in the residence.
Jeannette Police responded about 1 p.m. on June 25, 2026 to a Stella Street home and found a 7-year-old and a 5-year-old alone; a child told officers the adult caregiver, Joshua Warren, left for work around 5 a.m. Officers reported seeing a tinfoil smoking pipe, a digital scale with marijuana residue and a lighter in reach, and later observed two plastic bags of suspected psilocybin mushrooms in a coffee table compartment. Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau was contacted, a relative took supervision of the children, and Warren, 33, faces charges of endangering the welfare of children, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; these are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
