A warrant for 25-year-old Jibril Ali was served June 30, 2026, on a count of luring a child into a motor vehicle. Police say a 12-year-old girl was approached near the 1 block of East Simpson Street in March, declined an offered ride and was given a phone number; investigators tied phone records to Ali. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Mark Martin with bail set at $80,000 unsecured, is believed to be in Texas, and a preliminary hearing will be scheduled.
