On Aug. 17, 2026 at about 1:41 a.m., Bradford police responded to a domestic disturbance at 95 Davis St. and arrested 63-year-old John Kirkman after officers say he, reportedly intoxicated, screamed threats at a woman—repeating “The eviction isn't going to like what I like, but she might be floating down the creek”—and later stood over her while she pleaded for him to get away. The victim told officers Kirkman had tried to swat an item from her hand, pointed his fingers in her face, had previously threatened her with a loaded crossbow and feared bodily harm. Kirkman was charged with CC 2706 A1 Terroristic Threats (M1), CC 2709 A4 Harassment (M3) and assault-other, processed at Bradford City Police Department, held on $20,000 bail and remanded to McKean County Jail; all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
