On July 5, 2026 at approximately 6:37 p.m., Joshua Carlton Hosein, 20, of Columbia, PA, was involved in an incident on the 400 block of Cherry Street that led to multiple charges. A Columbia Borough Police officer filed charges including escape; evading arrest or detention on foot; tampering/fabricating physical evidence; resisting arrest/other law enforcement; intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered; and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Hosein is considered innocent until proven innocent in a court of law.
