At 6:14 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the WGAL News 8 Storm Team shared results of a National Weather Service preliminary damage survey confirming a downburst during the July 4 storm that affected Manheim Township. The survey found the damage patch measured 1.4 miles long and over 2.5 miles wide. The Manheim Township Police Department thanked residents and responders for their collaboration and teamwork during the incident.
