On July 25, 2026, Lancaster Township officers responded to Weis Markets and arrested 38-year-old Kevin Unnewehr after a reported retail theft. Investigators linked Unnewehr to 21 separate theft incidents at Weis Markets dating to May 2026, alleging more than $500 in stolen merchandise; he was charged with one count of Retail Theft (M1) and the case was filed before Magisterial District Judge Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
