On July 7, 2026, Kristy Rounsville, 44, allegedly produced a green lighter and ignited her clothing inside the holding cell at the Bradford City Police Department, then continued to set the removed clothing on fire on the cell floor. The burned maroon sweatshirt and recovered lighter indicate intentional ignition; the blaze threatened a wooden bench and ceiling and placed four officers from Bradford City and Bradford Township police departments at risk of death or serious bodily injury. Rounsville faces CC 3301A1I (arson — danger of death or serious bodily injury, F1) and CC 3301 D2 (arson — reckless burning, F3), was ordered held on $75,000 bail and remanded to Mckean County Jail; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
