On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Lititz Borough Police Department and Moravian Manor partnered to engage residents on traffic safety using the department’s “three E’s” strategy. Resident Council President Carol Simpson raised concerns about Sixth Street; Sergeant Tyler Weinoldt made five passes at predetermined speeds while residents recorded guesses for prizes and Mayor John George joined the activity. The exercise highlighted how vehicles often appear faster than they actually are—many residents estimated a 40 mph pass as 60–70 mph.
