On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Lititz Borough Police Department and Moravian Manor collaborated on a traffic-safety event using the “three E’s” of Education, Engineering, and Enforcement. Resident Council President Carol Simpson raised concerns about Sixth Street; Sgt. Tyler Weinoldt made five timed passes at set speeds while residents recorded guesses and competed for prizes, with Mayor John George joining the activity. The exercise highlighted how vehicles often look faster than they are—for example, many residents estimated a 40 mph pass as 60–70 mph.
