Lehigh Sodexo workers celebrate tentative union contract
A planned protest became a celebration Wednesday as Sodexo workers and supporters marked a tentative deal on the employees’ first collective bargaining contract.
What had been planned as a protest turned into a celebration Wednesday when Lehigh University Sodexo employees, students, faculty and community members gathered after a tentative agreement was announced. The deal, reached Tuesday evening, follows months of negotiations between Sodexo and Unite Here, the union representing Lehigh’s food service workers.
