Lewis Run Man Charged in Conspiracy to Retaliate Against Victim/Witness
Peter Ross is accused of plotting to discredit and harm a witness who testified in a prior child sexual abuse case.
McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that Peter Ross of Lewis Run was charged March 20, 2026 with two counts of Conspiracy Retaliation and Conspiracy Criminal Use of a Communication Facility for allegedly conspiring with Ray Coast to contact a victim’s employer and post anonymous social-media material to get the victim fired. Coast is currently jailed on unrelated charges—including hundreds of counts of rape, sexual abuse of children, and stalking—with $3 million bail; Ross was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge William Todd and had bail set at $150,000. All persons charged are presumed innocent.
