Lititz Borough holds flag replacement ceremony

Boy Scout Troop 142, Mayor John George, Police Chief Jared Hahn and members of the Young Men's Business League held a flag replacement ceremony in Lititz Borough; the new flag was donated June 30 and the retired flag will be sent to American Legion Garden Spot Post 56 for retirement.

On July 1, 2026, Boy Scout Troop 142 (St. James Catholic Church) joined Mayor John George, Chief Jared Hahn, Young Men’s Business League representatives, borough staff and parents for a flag replacement ceremony in Lititz Borough. The new American flag, presented June 30 by former Mayor Tim Snyder and Nelson Peters on behalf of the Young Men’s Business League, honors the nation’s 250th anniversary and Lititz Borough’s 270th founding anniversary. The retired flag was ceremoniously folded by the scouts and given to former Mayor Snyder to be properly retired by American Legion Garden Spot Post 56.
