Lititz Borough Police Adopt Live Scan Fingerprint System
LBPD replaced ink-and-roll fingerprinting with electronic Live Scan that sends prints to the Pennsylvania State Police AFIS and uses CPIN for booking photos and markings.
The Lititz Borough Police Department has implemented Live Scan electronic fingerprinting to replace ink-and-roll methods. Digital prints are transmitted to the Pennsylvania State Police Automated Fingerprint Identification System for immediate checks of local, state and federal records, and CPIN stations capture and store booking photos and distinguishing markings. The technology, obtained at no cost, improves custody screening, quality assurance, and eliminates paper errors to enhance processing and public safety.
