Lititz Borough police say they were dispatched Oct. 4 at about 5:42 p.m. to the 200 block of North Elm Street following a domestic incident. Officers allege Dean Michael Greenly, 51, punched the victim, knocked her head against a wall, threw hot wax at her and choked her from behind; a friend who called 911 reported seeing wax on the victim’s clothing, red marks on her neck and a bruise around her eye. Greenly was taken to Lancaster County Central Booking, committed to Lancaster County Prison on $30,000 bail, charged with one count of strangulation (F2) and one count of simple assault–domestic violence (M2), and a preliminary hearing will be scheduled; he is presumed innocent.
