On July 10, 2026 at about 10:20 p.m., Lititz Borough officers responded to a report of a man inhaling vapors from an aerosol can and located 31-year-old Caleb R. Richardson unconscious with two Duster compressed-gas cans beside him; he admitted to inhaling the aerosol. Richardson was arrested, struck his head against a holding-cell window causing it to bleed, and while officers tried to restrain him he intentionally kicked or kneed an officer in the chest. He was treated at a local hospital for the head wound, taken to Lancaster County Central Booking for arraignment, and has been summoned to District Court for a preliminary hearing on charges including aggravated assault, inhaling toxic substances, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment.
