As Independence Day approaches, the Lititz Borough Police Department reminds residents that borough ordinance prohibits the discharge of all fireworks except sparklers, making their use in the borough illegal. Although Pennsylvania’s House Bill 543 allows purchase of Class C consumer fireworks statewide, their use in Lititz remains banned; report illegal fireworks to non-emergency dispatch at (717) 664-1180, call 911 for emergencies, and direct media inquiries to [email protected].
