Lock Your Vehicles

Newtown Borough Police report an increase in thefts from and of motor vehicles in Bucks County and urge residents and visitors to adopt simple habits to reduce risk. The Pennsylvania Auto Theft Prevention Authority says nearly half of stolen vehicles were left unlocked; suggested steps include locking vehicles and taking keys, hiding valuables from plain sight, parking in well-lit visible spots, never leaving a vehicle running unattended, and reporting suspicious activity.
