Lorraine E. Wessner, 83, of Lower Saucon Township, dies May 21
Longtime Hellertown baker and church member Lorraine Wessner died May 21, 2026; calling hours and a memorial service are scheduled for Aug. 17 at Heintzelman Funeral Home.
Lorraine E. Wessner (1943 – 2026)
Lorraine E. Wessner, 83, of Lower Saucon Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Bethlehem Campus. She was the loving wife of the late William D. Wessner, who passed away on Aug. 20, 2021. Born in Bethlehem on March 15, 1943, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Alex Olah Jr. and Theresa (Torkos) Olah. Lorraine was a 1960 graduate of Hellertown-Lower Saucon High School and a 1961 graduate of Bethlehem Business School. Earlier in life, Lorraine worked as an assembler at Hellertown Manufacturing until its closing. She went on to pursue her passion for baking as the co-owner of Sweet Treasures in Hellertown for many years. An exceptionally accomplished baker, her talents brought joy to many in the community. Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Old Williams Lutheran Church in Hellertown.
SURVIVORS
Surviving is a brother: Lawrence E. Olah and his wife, Carol A., of Hellertown; sister: Penelope R. Haubeck and her husband, Wilhelm G., of Perkasie; nieces and nephews: Tara Apgar, Paul Olah, Suzanne Olah, Alex Haubeck and April Haubeck. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Regina R. Olah, Alex E. Olah and Dorothy L. Eyer.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. A memorial service will immediately follow the calling hour at 5 p.m. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the service.
