Man arrested after alleged burglary at Lappen Eye Care in South Greensburg
Surveillance footage led police to arrest 44-year-old Steven Bowling after an employee’s purse was taken from the break room at Lappen Eye Care; methamphetamine and marijuana paraphernalia were found in his vehicle.
South Greensburg Police responded to Lappen Eye Care on Jefferson Street on July 13, 2026, after surveillance showed a man entering through a non-patient door and removing a tan lunch bag purse from the employee break room. Officers, with assistance from Greensburg Police, identified the suspect as 44-year-old Steven Bowling and located him at an Oakland Avenue address wearing the same clothing from the video; police recovered the stolen purse and found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine and two marijuana bowls in his vehicle. Bowling faces charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.
