Man Arrested After Alleged Series of Weis Markets Thefts

On July 25, 2026, Lancaster Township Police responded to a reported retail theft at Weis Markets and located 38-year-old Kevin Unnewehr after he fled on foot toward Lancaster City. Investigators say Unnewehr is connected to 21 separate theft incidents at Weis Markets dating to May 2026, involving over $500 in stolen merchandise; he was charged with one count of Retail Theft (M1) and the case was filed before Magisterial District Judge Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
