Man arrested after passing counterfeit $20 at Feasterville Arby’s; second suspect sought
Lower Southampton police say a 25-year-old man was arrested after passing a fake $20 at an Arby’s in Feasterville; a second suspect fled with a counterfeit bill and is still sought.
On August 10, 2026, Lower Southampton Police responded to the Arby’s at 245 E. Street Road in Feasterville after a customer passed a non-genuine $20 while ordering; when the employee identified the bill as fake the suspect fled but was later located and taken into custody. The arrested man was identified as 25-year-old Jahmel Hayes of Brooklyn, NY. Investigators say a second individual attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 at the Arby’s but fled with the bill; the pair had earlier passed non-genuine $20s at the adjacent Taco Bell and may have visited other E. Street Road businesses. Businesses that were victims should contact Detective Stephen Brookes at 215-357-1235 ext 339.
