Man arrested after threatening to burn Nazareth home
Nazareth police say a 30-year-old man returned to a home after being denied belongings and threatened to set the house on fire.
On Oct. 7, 2026 at about 6:00 PM, Nazareth Borough Police responded to the 300 block of South Whitfield Street after a resident reported that 30-year-old Dennis Cope III returned to the property and threatened to set the house on fire after their discarding of his belongings. Cope, described as a 6'0" white male, surrendered to police, was charged with (18)2706(A1) Terroristic Threats (M1) and 2709 A1 Harassment, and was arraigned before Magistrate Capobianco.
